A Message Regarding the May Fete Fundraiser:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret to inform everyone that the May Fete Fundraiser is canceled again this year.

May Fete requires a minimum of 5 months planning and over 300 volunteers for a successful event during a TYPICAL non-covid year. Shifting conditions and changing government mandates  made this planning process impossible within this timeline.

Additionally, our ride vendor is unable to enforce the current government mandates that would allow an event of this magnitude to occur. This responsibility would then fall on parent volunteers, which is an unrealistic and unfair expectation that makes volunteering for a fun community event an unpleasant and unwelcome experience.

We cannot wait until we can resume this beloved tradition in 2022.

In the meantime, we will be putting together something fun in lieu of May Fete, so stay tuned for more information.  If you have any questions please email me at wpsa.president@gmail.com.
